July 13th, 2012 - Condolences!

Well known, well respected Aboriginal veteran Mr. Leonard (Len) Desjarlais passed away this week.

A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he has been very supportive of Aboriginal veterans on Vancouver Island.

His good work with veterans was noted on Facebook by Aldeen Mason who has known him for years through work at CFB Esquimalt and the Aboriginal Veterans Association.

Joining her in offering condolence Chris Innes "please pass my condolences onto the Desjarlais family from all the First Nation, Metis and Inuit Veterans here in the Atlantic Region who had but a moment with Len....let his journey into the spirit realm be swift and carefree."
