about the author

Vincent Schilling’s St. Regis Mohawk ancestry and his experience as a long-distance runner have been instrumental in his chronicling the lives of First Nation athletes. First-hand experience with his subject matter made it possible for Vincent to secure personal interviews with most of the sports figures featured in this book.
